12 Days Family Safari

Day 1: NAIROBI
Upon arrival, you will be met by our tour rep where you will be transferred to your hotel for briefing. Afternoon, city tour including visits to the Karen Blixen Museum and Rothschild Giraffe centre where you will have the opportunity to visit the education centre and feed the giraffes. Dinner and overnight at a Nairobi hotel.

Day 2: AMBOSELI
Early breakfast then depart for Amboseli game serve. Lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge. Afternoon game drive where you will have an opportunity to see the elephants and the giraffes. Dinner and overnight at lodge / camp.

Day 3: AMBOSELI
Early morning game drive where you might have an opportunity to see the sights of Mount Kilimanjaro, followed by a late breakfast. Rest of the morning spent relaxing by the pool. Afternoon in another game viewing drive around the lakes and springs fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. This is the home of a multitude of bird and animal species. Afternoon tea served on the summit of a nearby hill before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: MOUNT KENYA
Early breakfast then depart for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch before continuing to mountain lodge, a luxury “tree lodge” built deep in the mount Kenya forests. You can view wildlife gathering at the floodlight waterhole throughout the night from the comfort of your room. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.

Day 5: SAMBURU
After breakfast set off North to Samburu/ Buffalo springs, arriving at your lodge, which is set up along the bank of Uaso Nyiro River. After few hours of relaxation, an afternoon game drive along the banks of the life-giving Uaso Nyiro River and the adjoining game reserve. The area is home to the rare and beautiful species of Northern Kenya such as Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk gazelle and the Somali Ostrich. Elephant, Buffalo, lion leopard and many of the savannah game are also found here. Overnight in Samburu Serena Lodge. Dinner and overnight at lodge / camp.


Day 6: SAMBURU
Spend the full day in the Samburu game reserve with morning and afternoon game viewing. Visit the local Samburu manyatta and witness tribal dancing and have children’s faces painted in traditional Samburu style.

Day 7 & 8: After breakfast depart for Ol Pajeta wildlife Sanctuary, one of the few private sanctuaries in Kenya. Lunch at Sweetwaters Camp, a luxury tented Camp built facing Mount Kenya, followed by an afternoon of wildlife viewing by vehicle, on foot or horseback. The highlights of your stay will be a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary established by Dr. Jane Goodall. Dinner and overnight at lodge / camp.

Day 9: Maasai Mara - After breakfast transfer to Nanyuki for your flight to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve where you will be met by your guide and immediately embark on a game drive that takes you to your overnight lodge. Lunch, afternoon at leisure with a late game drive. Dinner and overnight at lodge / camp.

Day 10: Maasai Mara - Spend the full day in the Maasai Mara enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives. A visit to the local Maasai village can also be arranged.

Day 11: Nairobi - After breakfast morning flight to Nairobi with transfers on arrival to your hotel. Afternoon free for shopping. Overnight at a hotel in Nairobi.
